NuEnergy at IACP Technology Conference, Milwaukee, 2022

NuEnergy.ai is excited to participate in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Technology Conference in Milwaukee, from 23rd April to 26th April 2022. It is the premier professional event dedicated to discussing technology in law enforcement.

Niraj Bhargava, Co-founder and CEO, NuEnergy will be presenting his thoughts in a panel discussion on ‘How an AI Machine Trust Platform combats doubts in Modern Crime Fighting Tools’ alongside Roch Séguin and Paul Boudreau from Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and Colin Stairs from Toronto Police Service (TPS). The panel presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Law enforcement is empowering itself with modernized investigative solutions to fight modern crimes, many of which include AI and machine learning. While the intent of the use of these technologies is general welfare, there are a lot of inherent risks associated with the technology. When AI is deployed without disciplined governance, law enforcement agencies risk experiencing a loss of reputation and public trust as a result of unintentional failures of the AI technology. As a consequence, they risk losing access to AI-based investigative tools and regulating bodies consider legislation in response to public outcry.

NuEnergy.ai is working to eliminate these risks in law enforcement agencies associated with ungoverned AI technologies. With the services provided by NuEnergy, agencies can develop comprehensive and tool agnostic governance, increasing transparency, and measuring trust parameters such as privacy, ethics, and bias.

NuEnergy.ai Machine Trust Platform (MTP) measures essential trust parameters including privacy, ethics, transparency, and bias and protects against the risks of AI drift. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is currently piloting the Machine Trust Platform to develop a framework for responsible AI governance.
